FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Interactive Design Systems joins AutoDesk Corporation’s ADN Developer Program

IDS products to be integrated with AutoCAD and other AutoDesk applications

SAN DIEGO, Calif., February 28, 2005 – Interactive Design Systems (IDS) today announced that it has joined the AutoDesk Developer Network as a development partner.

IDS intends to integrate its three major current applications with AutoCAD and other AutoDesk applications. The integration will take place as new versions of IDS products are released during 2005.

The major applications to be integrated are:

BD2: A versatile Bridge Design software package, BD2 addresses the varied requirements of Pre-stressed Concrete Bridge Analysis and Design. BD2 uses basic matrix structural analysis formulation combined with time-dependent material properties, to carry out a Time Simulation of Bridge Designs under construction. During this process, all stress conditions are checked at every construction step as well as in service.

BD3: provides a 3-dimensional environment in which it performs a time simulation of construction stages for concrete pre- and post-tensioned structures. The analysis provided by BD3 is appropriate for concrete segmental bridges built in cantilever or span-by-span (or any construction method), concrete cable-stayed bridges as well as composite structures.

MC3D: Focused on managing the match cast joint method of pre-casting concrete segments, which has proved to be the most versatile and reliable way to building pre-cast segmental bridges. With proper geometry control provided, this method is ideal for building structures with complex geometry. Bridge engineers can use MC3D to monitor short-cell match casting of concrete segments based on casting-curves computed using time-dependent analysis software, such as IDS’s Bridge Designer. This enables the user to verify that the actual superstructure geometry is in close agreement with the geometry described in the design documents.

“IDS is excited to be working with AutoDesk, a worldwide leader in CAD software,” stated Jean-Claude Demosthenidy, President of Interactive Design Systems. “The integration of IDS product with AutoDesk products should expand the market for our applications and provide unparalleled productivity enhancement to Bridge Designers.”

All IDS software is shipping and available directly from IDS as well as through select Value-Added Resellers and International Distributors. IDS is currently expanding its sales channels, and is recruiting qualified VAR and Distributor Partners worldwide.
